These are my personal favorites that I use. I would not recommend anything that I do not stand by. As a community we’re here to grow and learn from each other. It’s how I learned (am still learning) and I want to keep that theme alive. So please share your favorites that I need to try!
Paint mixing tool kit - Glass Slab, Glass Muller and Palette knife. Muller completely changes the experience of paint making and this is what I have! I started with DIY flat glass surface and learning a lot but as I enjoyed the process investing in a muller just made the experience and the outcome totally different.
Earth and Mineral Pigments - Natural Earth & Mineral Pigments are beautifully archival, eco-friendly, and sustainably-harvested from around the world. I love the large quantity that we get for the price, and perfect if you have many projects to do with pigments.
Artist Pigments - If you are starting with Pigments for any medium I highly recommend Jacksons as they have a wide range of over 100 pigments from modern synthetics to natural earths. I started with Jackson’s as I could work and experiment a lot of varieties of pigments with different characteristics.
Watercolor Papers - This is a paradise for paper lovers, however the shipping is crazy for US. But whenever I pick pigments, I make sure to get few sample papers from this list that doesn’t add much to shipping!
